Florentino A. Ramirez serves as the primary legal advisor to the Whole Health Oncology Institute (WHOI) and Cancer Playbook, guiding the organization on legal strategy, compliance, and institutional partnerships. His expertise plays a key role in ensuring WHOI’s operations align with legal best practices across research, patient engagement, and strategic growth.
With a legal career spanning over two decades, Florentino leads the immigration practice at Ramirez & Associates, where he specializes in employment- and investment-based immigration, as well as legal support for educational institutions navigating immigration and employment compliance. His broader experience in international law adds a critical dimension to WHOI’s efforts to build global collaborations and navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
He has held leadership roles with the State Bar of Texas (Board of Directors, 2013–2016) and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Texas Bar Foundation. He has also served on the Board of Directors and as Secretary/Treasurer of the Dallas Bar Association, where he chaired the International Law Section.
